UPDATE: Safari Report & Species List

Over 30 people joined us for the Pollinator Safari–including ABC6’s Kelly Bates! We observed over 20 flower-visiting insects and everyone (kids and adults alike) enjoyed using our new insect vacuums! Believe it or not, we observed all of those species on less than a quarter-mile walk into the Avondale Farm Preserve from the Quail Run parking lot. To see up-close photos of many of these species, visit my student Alexa Pudlo’s digital collection. Stay tuned for our ABC6 news segment!
